Curious to see who people want to face tomorrow. Personally hoping we get GW and they don't hit 30s 3s again tomorrow night!
**Looks like we get La Salle. **

i would prefer GW. During that awful game, I kept thinking we were doing a good job defensively by forcing them to take very long threes, which I kept thinking they could not continue to make. But they did, like those threes by Maximus Edwards, who I did not think was that successful from deep, but he kept draining them. I still believe they can’t shoot like that again and that if we can defend them into taking long range threes, that’ll give us an advantage. The combo of Brickus, Brantley and Sheppard concerns me more than any trio from GW. Of course if either team shoots like they did in their regular season game against us, we’ll be in trouble.

If SBU loses to La Salle tomorrow, Schmidt will be 1-10 in his career against Francis Joseph Dunphy.

I wanted La Salle myself over GW. I know they kicked our asses down in their little gym and Dunphy is a good coach but they don't have anyone at the level of Bishop. A guy who could put up 30 on any given night is scary, I dont care how bad the team is.
it is better this way.

La Salle hit 10 threes to our six last month, which was ultimately the difference in the game.

It won’t matter, but it is LaSalle. Our guys are too talented so I am expecting they put their best effort together every game and win the tournament! Win and you’re in baby!!!

Personally I am hoping that Coach Schmidt makes some use of Luc in this game, spelling Mika Adams Woods. I feel that we have not been playing our best and fastest D of late. Perhaps Luc can bring some defensive speed and energy on that Jhamir Brickus, they are the same height. IMHO, I don't think that Moses or DBIII are quick enough to guard him. Some pressing and/or guard doubles may also help.

Some pressing and/or guard doubles may also help. Woods and Pride are probably are two best players, but they aren't used all that much. Woods is shooting 48 from the floor and 46% from three, but has only shot more than 10 times in five A10 games. Pride is shooting 45% from the floor and 41% from three while turning it over less than once a game. Pride shot it nearly 100 more times last year at Bryant than this year at SBU. Pride has attempted fewer than 10 shots a game in seven-straight contests.

Just going with the trend of this season, Bonnies should win two in a row since they just had two miserable performances. Let the roller coaster coast in the favor of the Brown and White starting tomorrow and at least Thursday too. Go Bona's forever and ever Amen.

Sure hope that Dr. Jekyll shows up at Barclays making for a more enjoyable dinner.
The explorers have a feel for the court even though their 1 pt win came off less than stellar shooting (36% FGs, 35% TREYS, 5-8 FTs). Today GW led for most of the back and forth game and BISHOP missed an open shot for the game winner and a missed desperation TREY.
Stamina may be factor in a close game. La Salle goes only 6 deep. BRICKUS (36.5) #1 & BRANTLY (35.8) #2 lead the conf in mins played this season. BRANTLY played 40 mins today.
In our loss at Gola Arena they shot well (51% FGs & 42% TREYS).
In 13 critical facets of the game they have outperformed us in only 2 areas. A/TO Ratio and TREYS Made. They take very good care of the ball giving it up only 9.6 a game.
We are #2 in TREY% (.373) to their #11 (.351). But they make more TREYS in games because they take far more long balls. In our loss at their place 47% of their shots were from deep and they shot well above their average that night.
Board play may be the difference tomorrow. Our rebound margin this season was +0.9. Explorers were a poor -2.8. In our loss they grabbed 6 more than us!
I want to see good board play AND MIKA & CHUCK combine for more than the 10 shots they took in our loss to the Explorers.

If SBU loses to La Salle tomorrow, Schmidt will be 1-10 in his career against Francis Joseph Dunphy. Not good from a Bona perspective. Dunph is a wily guy and he seems to elevate his coaching and his players in the postseason. 1-10, yoi. Talk about being beaten like a rented mule...

Hope they can play 3 great games in a row. I don't know if this team has it in them.

You shouldn’t care about most of those games, which happened over a decade ago. The losses mainly happened when Temple was really good and Bonaventure was not. Two of them were to ranked Temple at home. The win happened when Bona was lousy, anyway, in 2012-13.
