Noticed in second half that Shepard was wincing and trying to stretch his back. He is a very good player and it possibly could slow him down.

Leaving shortly for the trip to Brooklyn. Good time to get on a run. Go Bonas!

Not good from a Bona perspective. Dunph is a wily guy and he seems to elevate his coaching and his players in the postseason. 1-10, yoi. Talk about being beaten like a rented mule... You shouldn’t care about most of those games, which happened over a decade ago. The losses mainly happened when Temple was really good and Bonaventure was not. Two of them were to ranked Temple at home. The win happened when Bona was lousy, anyway, in 2012-13. Except for the last two games when SBU was a favorite and lost. No excuse for not winning today — but we’ve seen this act too often this season. Chad needs to get the ball out of his hands or get to the basket quickly. No hesitation and turnovers. Start fast. Win the rebounding battle. Make 10 threes. It’s that simple with this group.

It has got to help some that we already played in a tournament style setting in the same building earlier this season right?

It has got to help some that we already played in a tournament style setting in the same building earlier this season right? Probably not a “comfort advantage” over the team that played at Barclays 24 hours ago? We were 14/41 (31%) from deep in our two games this season at Barclays. We have to shoot better than that today, most likely. LaSalle was 10/24 (41%) vs us two weeks ago and 8/25 (35%) yesterday.

You often hear talk of sight lines in large arenas affecting some shooters more than others. Yesterday GW and La Salle shot poorly with the exception of GW making 44% of their TREYS. GW scored 17 points less than their season average and the Explorers fell short of their average by 11 points.
SHEPHERD hurt us at Gola Arena (23 pts on 9-15, 4-8 TREYS, 7 boards & 2 blocks). He is a tremendous leaper. If his back stiffens up it may compromise his game today after he played 39 mins yesterday.
At Barclays La Salle took an amazing 18 more shots than GW in spite of being -4 on the glass. Their poor shooting (36% FGs, 35% TREYS & 5-8 FTs) led to only 61 pts against a team that allows 78 a game.

Which is kind of my point I guess, I think it helps some that we already played two games in that exact big arena. We aren't playing La Salle at Gola Gym, thank God, so its kinda irrelevant how they shot 2 weeks ago there

I like him when we aren't playing him

BONNIES are now 8.5 point favorites. i noticed the line change earlier in the day. 2 points is a big swing in a tourney game.

Forget about the betting line especially with this team. Today will come to down to effort and protecting the ball.

In order to go deep in this tournament we’re going to have to drive the basketball with our guards to get some looks inside. Not something we have done a lot recently but something that MAW and Pride are good at. That’s my x-factor. We know Venning can dominate and we can hit the 3 ball of the looks are there but getting to the rim is what’s been missing.
