Dodged a big bullet! š
Venning with another bone headed playā¦. Better wake up tomorrow, hopefully can carry momentum into tomorrow Lucky to advance. Played a good first half, looked lost half the time in the second half. Assa is a real weak spot on the glass, never boxes out. Several of the LaSalle second chance points came from guys coming in right around Assa. We also need to shoot better. Missing wide open 3s and chippies. Assa did, however, lead the Bonnies with 9 rebounds.

Watching live, I thought Shepardās shot went in and the refs were calling an and-1 to give LaSaale the shot to win. I couldnāt believe it when the score didnāt change and the announcers were discussing how the hell Shep missed. I was still expecting two free throws thinking a foul had been called. Imagine my relief when I saw everyone walking off the court and finally realized the whistle I heard instead signaled the end of the game.

Pride very aggressive in first half looking good then we don't see him again. Bonnies get the win with balanced scoring, have to give La Salle credit they shot well. On to Loyola! Go Bonnies!!

Hermit - pretty sure Assa was the gameās leading rebounder. Iād have felt better if heād jumped in and caught that missed three, or at least boxed out Shepard, but Assa was solid on the glass the entire game, in fact, better then anyone else.

someone in OLEAN want to teach a class on how NOT to foul the 3 point shooter ? Dion Wright will be happy to teach the class. As I remember his foul on that Davidson kid was almost in the exact same spot except that foul cost us the game.

At least CHAD & CHARLES will be well rested for tomorrow. And to think that McCormick actually said Schmidt had Venning on the bench because he wanted to keep him fresh for the upcoming games. No, he really said that.

I would have felt better also. Iām not sure what he was thinking on that final play. He was, as the announcers saidā¦āwatching the ballā. I was actually more upset with him for missing that follow up to Venningsā miss.

No, he really said that. He was a terrible commentator. He kept calling Banks āWoodsā and obviously Schmidt would never sit anyone to keep them fresh

No, he really said that. MCCORMICK was better than the other guy who didn't know the difference among BANKS, FLOWERS, and WOODS !

Banks is either our best player or one of our worst. Hard to figure him out. As usual, he was not afraid to take and make the big shots and key stops on D.
Pride was our best player for about 15 to 20 minutes then doesnāt get used down the stretch. Seems like that has been his role the last several games.
Moses was mediocre most of the game then makes big plays down the stretch.
Mika had one of his better games in the last month or longer ā¦ 15 pts, 6 assists and zero turnovers.
Chad and Noel combined for 23 points. Venning only one rebound which is disturbing. We won the rebound battle by 4 after dominating in the first half.
Itās a tough group to coach because so many guys do the same thing but you never know whoās going to play well or poorly each game.
Iām sure LUC is chomping to have a second chance at the Bonnies. Tomorrow at 5:00 will be a great time for this team to put it all together for 40 minutes like we saw a few times this season.
