Greg thanks for that enjoyable video.
Impressed by Kalbaugh's outside shot, I'll bet he would have been an offensive weapon if you had the 3 point line back then.

So we now know the opponents and dates for Orlando with Northern Iowa, Utah State and North Texas in our bracket. Late November. We now have 4 home games (Cal St Northridge Nov 5, Le Moyne Nov 16, Buffalo Dec 7 and Niagara TBD), 3 road games (Siena Dec 17, Canisius and FGCU TBD — FGCU probably around the Orlando trip), and 3 neutral games (Providence Dec 14, ESPN Orlando Nov 27-28).
Based off the last 3 years of scheduling, we’ve had 6 home games at the RC each season. The remaining 6/7 games of non-conference have been somewhat evenly split between road and neutral. Last year, it was 2 road, 4 neutral. In 22-23, it was 4 road, 3 neutral. In 21-22, it was 1 road (Northeastern and it was canceled) and 5 neutral — we were in high demand due to being a likely preseason Top 25.
I think it’s fair to think the only thing left for this year’s non conference schedule is 2 more buy games at the RC.

better than expected. I hope we get paired up with North Texas, the way they play defense is impressive and would be a good test early in the season

The game with Providence at Mohegan Sun will be part of a card that will include another A-10 school as Fordham will play Bryant. It will be two games pitting NY and RI teams on that December Saturday.

If they play in Rochester, it's a homecoming for Rose and Council. That's great news for them. Hoping we play a big-time opponent but not counting on it. Figuring it will be an A-10 game in early January when the kids are on break. Or maybe early March during Spring Break. Glad they are scheduling a neutral site game in my old hometown. Like to see at least 6,000 to 7,000 in the house that night. What about a doubleheader with the Women? Crowley needs to get the word out in Section V that we are back on the map.

Bonas at Cansius on November 9th. per tne Buffalo News. What a waste of a game. We really need to reevaluate how we schedule. Going to that high school gym does us no good. Don’t even get me started on the foolishness of the Franciscan cup and trips to Siena every other year.

bona and Siena are both kind of Franciscan schools with sort of common roots Having a third home and home with a MAAC school we have little basketball history with is not smart. You don’t see anyone else in the A10 with this many home and homes with inferior MAAC-type schools for a reason. The best team in that league is usually around 150 in the NET and offers no benefit with a win, and is a devastating loss. We didn’t regularly play them until 2010, and nobody cares when we beat them. One of the saddest things I have ever seen is last year at the RC when we had ROTC cadets guarding the Franciscan Cup during the game. I say let someone steal it and throw it in the Allegany River if it means we stop going to Albany every other year.

That is actually, quite a long history. There are more than likely many reasons why we play Siena. One is that Bonnies generally come out on top. That is not the case with most of the top 20 most played teams in Bona history. Bona has a winning record over only 6 of those top 20 most played teams: Canisius, Niagara, Duquesne,Fordham,LaSalle, and Siena. Bring in West Virginia? 6-33 Temple? 7-51 Syracuse? 4-24
