Well! As long as you bring it up I ate at the famous Texas hot in wellsville this morning..of course most Bonnie’s never get there because they suffer from leaving Allegany anxiety..But the breakfast was great even sans Texas. Hots And nastalgia abounds Wellsville retains an air o Norman Rockwell Americana The oil man has supported hockey at Penn state , maybe at ub too. He had offices once in Allegany, but don’t think he left any donations around here. Wellsville is 40 miles from campus. Those texas hots need to be pretty good to entice anyone on campus to make that jaunt maybe they are? heck that's an idea, we could be the St. Bonaventure Texas Hots! It sounds pretty cool and would confuse people into thinking we are in Texas  yeah, that would really throw people off. A lot of teams probably get lost trying to find Olean/allegany. Throw Texas into the equation and they won't know what the hell is going on. |

Yesterday I met with a new doctor who grew up in south Jersey watching college hoops, mostly the Big 5 in Philly and was a Seton Hall grad. He knew of us as the Bonnies from back in the day (after noticing my green Shamrock Bonnie baseball cap, which I told him was the perfect hat for someone who went to Bonas and currently lives on Shamrock Drive.) He asked me where St. Bonnie is, and I did not correct him. That being said, I still occasionally use a travel bag given to me at the registration of a recent reunion that says “Once a Bonnie, always a Bonnie.”
