As much as I wanted him here. I just didn't think we had a shot with what Binghamton could offer him playing time/role/ etc... Decision not to attend Bonas. Was it his decision or Schmidt's decision? We took a pass on him...best of luck to him at Binghamton....we have quality group of 4 yr targets set to visit. As Roseboro's coach stated "they are building something good up there".

All the best to Mr. Chandler at Binghmampton. I hope he stays away from the wrong crowd there. His skills would have been put to good use as a Bonnie but I'm certain Coach made the right decision on this.

I had mixed emotions about this. Bona's would have been good for him, with HoMac (also from Newark), and the quality kids that we have, the atmosphere would have been positive for his future. He's also a darn good player.
On the other side, I would rather have a 4-year kid, and we are recruiting some excellent kids. We have few 'ships and I would rather it go to one of those kids. Also, there were no 'ships for this year, if he came it would have been suspicious, and I would rather keep that suspicion at bay. I would rather get 4 years for a 4 year 'ship, rather than 2 years for a 3 year 'ship.
All in all, getting Roseboro was better for us for this year, and hopdfully for the future.
