Smith is the kind of transfer I'd like for this team. I'm hoping between Adams, Gregg, Andoh, Stockard, and Mobley we have enough scorers to go into next season with. Smith doesn't need to score to be successful. We need a guy (like Smith) that will significantly upgrade our rim protection and help out on the boards. It would be a plus that he is already proven he can do so on the Division 1 level. I believe he (or someone in the same mold as Smith) would be a perfect addition to next year's team.

LARON was the MEAC Defensive Player of the Year despite only averaging 24 minutes a game, still managed to average over 3 blocks a game. LARON is a bright young man, named to B/C's President's List with a 4.0 GPA. However, his major is Criminal Justice. LARON visited Charlotte last weekend.

LaRon seems to grab a sizable portion of the rebounds.

It definitely seems like LaRon could bring some immediate help as a rim protector. I couldn't help but cringe at that career 32% FT shooting percentage though.

Personally I do not like the "transfer list" or "2016 recruiting" threads filling up with debates, they should be for prospective recruits' & transfers' names, but I am going to do something I do not like and ask some questions: Since LARON is a one and done, and ANDOH is a one and done and I am pretty sure I came across another one and done the staff may be looking at, if LARON or another one and done is signed, does the staff use the last ship? If the last ship is used, would it be on another big man with 4 years eligibility? 2 years eligibility? or does the staff have enough confidence in IKPEZE's rapid development? Or is it used on "best available"?

If it takes a chicken and a half a day and a half to lay an egg and a half, how many chickens does it take to lay 14 eggs in five days?

I imagine Coach Ferry at Duquesne is on the if not the hotseat, certainly the warm seat. Has signed 2 graduate transfers, to supplement the roster and proabably both will be starters, Emile Blackman from Niagara and Kale Abrahamson (6'8" SF) from Drake.

You must have taken calculus from Fr. Gerald!

If it takes a chicken and a half a day and a half to lay an egg and a half, how many chickens does it take to lay 14 eggs in five days? 2.8 is mathematically correct. But of course, laying at 1 egg per day, per chicken, 14 eggs cannot be laid in 5 days.

Actually it is 4.2 chickens. Chickens X Days X Rate (Eggs/Chicken-Day) = Eggs So based on original question: Chickens X 5 days X Rate (2/3 eggs/chicken-day) = 14 eggs
The equation also works for the original postulate 1.5 Chickens X 1.5 Days X Rate (2/3 eggs/chicken-day) = 1.5 eggs
I knew all that calculus and differential equations I took at Bona's would come in handy someday!

Some items:
Malik Yarbrough who left Saint Louis is going to Illinois State (Missouri Valley Conference)
Savon Goodman of Arizona State to LaSalle. A SF who averaged 6.4 RPG and 9.6 ppg. Will be able to play immediately, from Philly.
Johnny Zuppardo is still available. We offered him 2 years ago, but went to Mississippi State. We actually played against him in Andrew's senior year when he was a frosh at Arkansas State. He would be able to play immediately....he is a 6'9" PF. He is my JP Kambola of this year.....the kid that many of us were hoping for last year to solve our "big" need.

I periodically search the "waiver wire", in this case the transfer list, for someone to play the middle for us. I don't get paid for this tireless job, but somebody has to do it, and of course the coaching staff may get an idea from this thread. Here is my all time reach for a player....a 6'10" 225lb center, from Dakar, Senegal, from the SEEDS program.....but this guy is no Yousou. He played last year for South Carolina State, a team we played. In 10 minutes vs us he scored 2 points and got 3 rebounds....I don't remember him, so certainly did not stand out. So I assume we will not be recruiting Doudou Gueye, but he is eligible to play, and we do need a body. www.verbalcommits.com/players/doudou-gueye
