HOME SWEET HOME
Since the Reilly Center opened in 1966, the Bonnies are 52-5 overall in home openers.
St. Bonaventure has won its last three openers, defeating Longwood, Saint Francis (PA) and Siena at the Reilly Center to begin the past three seasons respectively. Those wins snapped what was a three-year skid in season lid lifters, all at home. Prior to that, however, the Bonnies had won 12 straight home openers between 2004 and 2016.
TRENDING NUMBERS 12-5 – The Bonnies are 12-5 in season-openers under head coach Mark Schmidt.

There is a warning on TapIntoOlean's site to avoid 182 East Union Street in Allegany due to a bomb threat. Since St. Bonaventure owns that building, is this going to effect tonight's game?

Eager to see our ability to rebound and get to the stripe. Both areas we struggled against Alfred.
Hope we bring our A game. At this time I have no idea what that level looks like.

This pace is going to test both team’s conditioning, endurance and bench strength.

About what I’ve expected so far with one exception: 9 guys have played, but no Bolanga yet. Offense is going to be a massive work in progress

Starting to identify who should be shooting 3. Our PG not a shooter.

Starting to identify who should be shooting 3. Our PG not a shooter. Agreed, but not many pure shooters to choose from. Really just Lajae, Bolanga and Hinton.

QUICK NOTES : Seeing some decent ball movement. Already better looking half court sets than last year's squad - hard cuts - sharp passes - less standing around. All good ... Melvin and DaSonte look strong. Chance and Lajae as well ... Noel needs to stay on the floor / Foul trouble could be a problem unless Folarin shows us a little more.

Our offensive sets are for 3's with not enough 3 point shooters.

Defensively, Bona forced 12 turnovers in 1st half (committed 8). Limited the Matadors to just 20 pts.
Bona's 31 is respectable for a first go-round. Nice opening 20 for Melvin (9/4/3 st). Just need to settle down and more shots will fall.
